Be The Best Version of you

Connect My Brain works with children. Dr. Hanson has specialized in the field of pediatric developmental delay for over 2 decades. She has created an integrative approach to assess the progression of development and to identify the root cause for developmental interference. Possible causes include but are not limited to:

  • Parental state of health at the time of conception
  • Method of delivery: vaginal vs C-section, instrumentation
  • Fertility issues
  • Childhood illnesses
  • Child’s gut health

Connect My Brain works with adults. Your brain may need a shift if relentless health issues remain despite attempting many remedies. The root of health problems can oftentimes be traced back to early-life circumstances and unpleasant memories. These can lead to a “stuck” brain. When the brain becomes “stuck,” the following (and many more) may be experienced:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Insomnia/Lack of quality sleep
  • Racing thoughts
  • Memory issues

And, YES, Connect My Brain even works with peak performers… CMB thrives in the area of peak performance. When the brain works at its optimal level, goals are easily achieved, and ambitions reach new heights. Understanding how the brain works resolves the mystery of over-coming challenges, leaping over hurtles, and establishing razor-sharp focus for dream building. Make your plan to step into the best version of you! Our program includes the following lessons (and more):

  • As you think, you will become!
  • Your thoughts and your body!
  • How your brain makes choices!
  • How your brain can change!
  • The difference between your mind and your brain!

Connect My Brain is a place where everyone, young and older, can learn how their brain works and how they can become the best version of themselves.

How Connect My Brain Works

We start by looking at your brain, which is made up of about 100 billion neurons.

As a baby, your mind was exploding with new nerves called neurogenesis. Think about a baby’s ability from day 1 to year 1. There is so much change.

The first year of life is so unique. It takes a year to stand up and interact with gravity.

By age two, your stomach matures, and by three, your immune system develops.

This developmental progression is where you were wired, and it began when you were in your mother’s womb. This unique process is the foundation for every one of us.

For example, If an individual had a stroke, their brain would return to a rudimentary place of learning to recover.

A child with developmental delay, regardless of the label its given, is typically noted as being neurologically younger than their chronological age.

You can appear one way on the outside but function very differently on the inside. However, if the brain receives the right stimulus, integration, and fuel, significant changes are possible.

 Your Brain Is The Key

The brain can get “stuck” in a pattern. Your brain is made up of frequencies for communication. When you focus or pay attention, the electrical patterns in your brain slow down and relax, and the amplitude of your brain-waves generally stabilizes in the alpha range. The alpha brain wave is responsible for focus, attention, self-reflection, deep relaxation, and suppression of anxiety.

There are many brain waves: delta, theta, alpha, SMR, Beta, high beta, gamma. Each brain wave has a unique frequency. Each area of the brain utilizes brain waves differently.

The brain in unison works together allowing you to accomplish your tasks, thoughts, conversation, attention, sleep, setting the pattern for self-regulation.

When brain wave frequencies are not within an expected range, then symptoms will manifest. Each of these labels identifies a frequency disruption.

The good news is that you can change your brain.

Neuroplasticity is the way your brain reorganizes itself throughout your life. If you keep it flexible, exercise self-control, and give it optimal fuel, your brain is teachable. You can change your pattern through neurofeedback.

What is Brain-Based Therapy?

Brain-based therapies involve using the brain, the body, and the fuel that makes your body run.

Today’s healthcare system traditionally manages one part of your body at a time. For example, you may see a cardiologist for your heart, an endocrinologist for your hormones, and a geneticist to discover links to symptoms.

While all are excellent providers, they usually do not discuss “you” with each other.

The missing link in our healthcare system is that it does not consider the whole body at the same time: the brain, the body, and the fuel. Assessing all three together helps to provide a complete picture of your unique self.

What To Expect

Connect My Brain is a place for you to get back in touch with who you are and what you want to do. Our program can be tailored to children and adults. The heart of the program includes brain mapping, functional nutrition, neurofeedback, biofeedback, and movement designed to restore your body.

Neurofeedback is the practice of self-regulation. It is not an isolated therapy but rather an ongoing practice in real-time. One that helps reveal your unique brain and how it functions so that you can gain control of your life.

Consider that when you are hungry, you receive a feedback message telling your brain to get something to eat. When you are cold, your brain prompts you to get a coat or blanket.

Science has learned that we function through feedback. So if an area is not communicating as expected, then you practice regaining the ability to control what you think and do.

We have helped countless patients overcome situations and issues they felt were insurmountable. You do possess the ability to get back in touch with yourself and regain control. Connect My Brain can help.

Steps to restore the body:

  • Brain mapping

  • Functional nutrition

  • Neurofeedback

  • Biofeedback

  • Movement
