Connecting To Your Brain is Your Path to Weightloss

At the beginning of each year we are bombarded with TV and radio ads about losing weight. In fact, I was taken aback when I saw that Oprah is the new spokeswoman for Weight Watchers on their commercial. I would like you to look deeper at that commercial when you have a chance. If you listen to the message, it is about the brain. Oprah has tried one program after the next and she herself says that she has not succeeded. She has tried one program, then another program, and now she is right back in 2016 looking at the same goal.

Are you in the same situation? Have you tried so many things but never reached the goal that you have set for yourself? It is an amazing concept. What does the brain have to do with this? I think the Weight Watchers program is kind of interesting this year. They are showing real food instead of microwaveable food, and they are talking about exercise. But again it is going from counting your calories to counting your points and finding another way to disconnect the problem from yourself. What is going to make you change you, is getting connected to your own brain.

When you try something again and again and the brain hasn’t delivered the outcome you want, you need a new plan. When you don’t accomplish your goals it means there is a missing piece. Your brain is not sure that’s what you really want to do. The missing piece is that you need to be connected to your own brain. Change the pattern. It is only a pattern, it is not you. It does not define you. You have to work at it though. You have to want it more than anything else you have ever wanted in your life. You have to have a plan and you have to do things differently then you did before. This year this could be the new you but you have got to connect to your brain.
